Billed as “something new” for Ninomiya, the collection that followed was a deep dive into colour and texture. Skirts came in clouds of yellow tulle, coats in patchwork tufts of pastel candyfloss “hair”, and oversized bombers jackets in hyper-chunky weaves, revealing day-glo orange layers underneath. A particular standout came in the form of frothy gowns, constructed from masses of multicoloured feathers that floated through the air as models bounced along on glassy iterations of the Reebok Instapump Fury.
