Though it might seem like Botter was treading a darker path for SS24, the duo explained that voodoo practices centre on “the unity of people, of the world, of the harmony and the rhythms that could be restored.” And as much as voodoo has been maligned within the west (a hangover from colonialism) the collection rode on optimism and wit. “We need connection and everybody should need connection… it's more important now than ever to realise that and get that individualistic mindset out of our system.”
