If this collection was a rebirth, then fuzzy briefs adorned with bunny rabbits and mice were a rolling back of the clock. Worn with little else, this season’s styling was kept to a minimum and there was often more flesh on show than the clothing itself, which reflects a wider shift in Milan towards minimalism. Behemoths like Gucci and Prada both swapped out spectacle for simplicity, with a renewed focus on tailoring and well-made staples. But there were also pillows, which has also become a Thing for reasons yet to be discerned – comfort? function? Kourtney Kardashian’s melatonin pills?
