Not long after Maximilian delivered his final collection at Fashion East earlier this year, the LVMH-nominated prodigy was picked-up by Salvatore Ferragamo as the brand’s new creative director. It was one of the buzziest appointments of recent seasons, demanding a level of leadership that would weigh heavy on even the most experienced of designers. But, in the days leading up to his debut collection, the designer made a bold assertion of his direction, dropping the label’s “Salvatore” prefix in a Peter Saville rebrand, complete with a custom, blood-red Pantone calling card.
