If last season channelled Ashley Tisdale’s ballsy Teen Choice Awards styling – all studded skirt belts, dresses layered over cargo pants, and feather boas – then SS23 treated Y2K nostalgia as if it were folklore. Bustiers, mini dresses, and long-sleeve organza gowns took on 18th century panniers and bustles; pink chiffon togas hung from floral nipple-clamps; empire waist slip dresses were worn over hand-scribbled jeans; and sparkly, crocheted knitwear was shredded into long-trailing threads.
