“This was an extension of this person’s hair – they cut their hair kind of like this, and I just emphasised it a little bit more. I really like the way that people express themselves with their hair. This person had a very strong idea about themselves, and I loved the nuance of it, alongside the ears, the bangs, and the grown out colour. I’ve always said about my work: I’m taking reality and putting it in magazines or on the runway or in this book.”
