Alongside Nicole Kidman and Beyoncé, Venus Williams was a co-chair of the gala this year, and chose Swarovski by Giovanna Engelbert for the big moment. The look – a black crystal mesh gown and chunky silver necklace – was inspired by a 2022 portrait of Williams by the artist Robert Pruitt called “Venus Williams, Double Portrait”.
