“At its core, the Medusa’s Lover collection explores the transformative force of eroticism which takes on mythical dimensions,” read the notes issued alongside the opulent show. And how did this translate onto the runway itself? Think: Birth of Venus-style clamshell prints mixed with mermaid-esque scales (a play on the wet-look styles we’ve come to expect?), plus low, leather waistlines dripping with gold charms, and a whole viper’s nest of snake tattoos, slithering up models’ calves, thighs, and marble-carved abs.
