Titled Survivor’s Remorse, the collection paid homage to Coker’s community, who she’s had to lean on in recent months while grieving the death of her neighbour of over 20 years. Immersing the audience in her world, she filled the walls with paintings of her loved ones, posters for Notting Hill Carnival and W10 postcode road signs. The clothes themselves were a showcase of Coker’s greatest hits: puffball sleeves, cropped jackets paired with mini skirts, playful tailoring, dogtooth prints and a kaleidoscope of colours. It was Coker at her very best – no wonder it got a royal seal of approval.
