Typically, the Thursday of London Fashion Week eases us in with one or two shows, followed by a jam-packed four days. Not this season. Tolu Coker got the ball rolling on Thursday afternoon (Feb 19), with not just any show, but a show that will go down in fashion history. The British-Nigerian designer’s AW26 offering was full of surprises, namely the arrival of King Charles III, who sat front row alongside fashion royalty Martine Rose and Stella McCartney. As if that wasn’t enough of a surprise, Little Simz then opened the show with a performance of “Free”, from her latest album Lotus.
