The humble board short exists to most of us as a distant memory. While some people might associate them with LA surfers, golden locks and the smell of Sex Wax, here in the UK, we remember family holidays to Newquay – squawking seagulls, the faint ding of a nearby arcade and squeezing into a cold, damp, wetsuit. One of the last things you’d associate with board shorts is Paris Fashion Week. Yet, that’s exactly where they appeared yesterday (Sept 30), on the Dries Van Noten SS26 runway.
