Starting just after 10pm on Sunday night (September 21), the models emerged slowly with dazed expressions and movements, as if their bodies were present but their minds were somewhere else entirely. The clothes comprised all of Findikoglu’s favourite ingredients: corsetry, chemises held together with silver eyelets, pencil skirts paired with high-necked blouses and tight leather midi-dresses. A series of white looks symbolised the “material embodiment of virtue as restraint”, though they were ripped apart, “refashioned and reimagined in line with the wants of free bodies and minds”. Already, one corseted nude gown is getting attention across socials, praised for the rotten cherries that decorate it.
