Jewel, the designer’s latest collection, “expands the vision of Superfine style, channelling the opulence of 1930s evening wear along with an eclectic wardrobe inspired by British sartorial traditions” according to show notes at Lycée Henri-IV, a historic school in Paris’ Latin Quarter. On the catwalk, Wales Bonner imagined this season’s man as a “collector of soulful clothing”, which was channelled through the timeworn denim, crystal brooches, fringed moccasins and pussy bow blouses.
