Like many designers this season, Ludovic de Saint Sernin was inspired by the office, presenting a collection called L’Entretien at Paris Fashion Week, meaning ‘The Interview’ in French. “Sweat-slicked boys and girls storm through a glass-walled lobby in last night’s make-up, straight from the dancefloor and into their final round interviews at 10:30 am,” read the show notes. “Moving up the corporate ladder needn’t mean selling out or stiffening up, they prove, proposing a 9-to-5-to-9 wardrobe that unearths a vernacular of refined sensuality in what, at first glance, seems so straight-laced.”
