As well as bears, references seemed to point to eclectic touchstones of 00s nostalgia. One look could’ve easily been Britney Spears’ red latex outfit in the “Oops!... I Did It Again” music video, whilst cut-out peek-a-boo holes over kneecaps reminded us of Mean Girls, specifically when Regina George makes boob-cut-outs cool. Elsewhere, scarves doubled up as tops and 80s silhouettes were carried throughout via huge shoulders and tailored suit jackets.
