“Lately, I’ve been grappled by a quiet fear – one that lingers rather than overwhelms. It’s
not an urgent panic but a slow, creeping unease,” wrote Beate Karlsson in this season’s AVAVAV show notes. “I’ve been dealing with some health problems recently – things I never would have expected to face so soon – and it has forced me to reflect on how I’ve treated my body over the years.” But rather than let fears over her health consume her, Karlsson channelled those worries into her latest collection ‘The Hole’.
