The German Tanztheater style is described as a dialogue “between love and longing, freedom and control, romance and passion” and its these “poetic dualities” that Davis intended on exploring through the clothes. In this way, Alex Consani’s opaque mesh dress was trimmed with an unexpected section of faux fur, while feather gowns were flattened by silk sashes draped around the body.
