“They say that women are from Venus, and so, in an act of spiritual rapture, to Venus we return,” read the notes at Dilara Finidikoglu’s yearly London Fashion Week show, aptly titled Venus from Chaos. In true Dilara fashion, spindly, antique-looking chairs lined the walls of a dingy basement while pulsing crimson light illuminated the catwalk. This season, the Turkish designer planned to disengage from the chaos on earth by returning women to Venus, escaping the grips of “destruction, subjugation, cruelty and control.”
