For Nouchi, a renewed focus on the body in all its diverse forms is key to breaking free from those constraints. According to show notes, “bodies are inherently political”, which meant curve models emerged on the Palais de Tokyo runway in stretchy singlets, high cut leotards and sheer panelled vests.
