Unlike AW24’s almost all-black colour palette, this season’s show began with a trio of snow white looks, rigid gowns that recalled padded cells and whipped desserts, slowly inching down the runway. More dresses arrived, ones that looked like sacks of tulle stuffed with children’s bedsheets, and then fuzzy looking chess pieces, some gift-wrapped Christmas presents, and a human-size ballet slipper, sewn together by a crimson lace.
