Simone Rocha returned to her usual location of the Old Bailey on Sunday afternoon, delivering a flirty injection of pretty pinks and deep reds as the weather turned a drab, London grey. Five days before the show, Irish artist Genieve Figgis posted a 2013 painting called “Lady with a Bird” on Instagram, captioned with the time and date of Rocha’s show. Yesterday, the painting appeared as a print within Rocha’s SS25 collection, but also, as her new Instagram icon. It seems the designer has found a new muse.
