Like all Di Petsa collections, SS25 was concerned with various forms of womanhood, so this season was also about the menstrual cycle as “a bold symbol of female power and the cyclical nature of life and creation.” As a central motif of the collection, there were prints inspired by menstrual stains, models’ fingers were dipped in blood, and the ‘Blood Masturbation Denim’ trousers were – you guessed it – intentionally stained with faux period blood. “My Body Is a Labyrinth invites us to embrace the parts of ourselves that have been hidden in the shadows,” concluded Petsa in the show notes, “offering both release and redemption.”
