The Brooklyn-based creative had won CFDA’s Emerging Designer of the Year award in 2021, but had previously opened up about the stark financial realities of being an independent designer that caused his NYFW pause. To celebrate his triumphant return to the schedule, the entire show embodied the spirit of New York’s different neighbourhoods, from the “unapologetic edge of the Bronx” to the creativity of Brooklyn, with sequinned pants, animal prints, eclectic patterns, crinkle leather pieces with eyelet detailing, and large floppy hats.
