Taubensee and DiCaprio are masters of character creation, and this season we met their wealth-obsessed, fashion dame. A violin-shaped bag signalled her distinction, silly lace fascinators sent up her snottiness, while freakish faux-fur adorned her jackets and stoles. “Fur is a classic symbol of wealth,” DiCaprio told us afterwards, backstage, “so it’s fun to subvert that a little bit and make it gross.”
