Backstage, things were similarly hectic. Jonathan James William’s balding geezers in suits – said to represent a fear of the 9-to-5 – mingled with models from Alvaro Mars’s Lolita collection, all puffball skirts and sheer polkadot lace. From the feathered fascinators on head to the potato clutch bags in hand, this offering might just be CSM’s most delightfully chaotic one yet.
