Do had established that we wear clothes to protect and project, but what about the clothes that do both? The knowing irony in the designer’s message was that clothing designed to look like it’s “protecting” us – like an armoured vest made from bubble wrap – only succeeds in projecting our fragility further. Either way, we are constantly doing both, and Do’s clothing are the dots that join the two together.
