“Some clothes are there to protect us,” read the shownotes for Helmut Lang’s AW24 show, “some there to project us. Forward motion into the rooms through the spaces and out the gates.” This time, the room in question was the former Williamsburg Saving Bank in Brooklyn, transformed by chalky gauze curtains and blimp-like lighting fixtures above.
