From the moment the first model hit the runway, cut open slacks were stitched to blazers, and pinstripe suits came with their own trouser tails. Though, to begin with, the meeting points of these garments were intentionally disguised, their stark contrasts soon became clear. Ripped denim was tacked onto to double-breasted navy, black velvet met Prince of Wales check, while camel cord turned into brown, flecked tweed.
