Getting pregnant is kind of cheating when it comes to accessorising on the red carpet, but Suki Waterhouse’s bright red, open-backed Valentino gown earns a mention nonetheless, with Succession’s best actress-winner Sarah Snook trading her pantsuit for a Vivienne Westwood gown in a similar shade. The award for the most talked-about look on the Emmys 2024 red carpet, though, goes to Aubrey Plaza’s yellow Loewe dress, lifted straight off the label’s SS24 catwalk (the one with a giant pin stuck through the chest). A statement in itself, the internet quickly picked up on the fact that the look doubles as an errant post-it note on which to scrawl your shopping lists, affirmations, and imminent awards speeches.
