According to notes, Jordanluca settled on the balloon because “they evoke gatherings, childhood, youthful optimism, play, unguarded happiness”. On the catwalk, this roughly translated to a birthday blow-out of epic proportions, smashing 70s punk references with 80s power-dressing tropes. Think vertiginous, spiked bouffants and cinder block shoulder pads and you’ll get the idea.
