Marni SS24

Prior to the event, creative director Francesco Risso shipped out his invitations: a long, hand-written letter depicting his life-long love for Paris and obsession with Lagerfeld’s artistry. Sticking to this theme, the collection played out as a colourful celebration of the two, with stripy jackets and 60s shift dresses crafted from shiny leather, tiny plaid and sheer pink mini dresses short enough to see a glimpse of matching underwear underneath, and matching structural skirt and blazer sets, with flared-out hems which made them look as if models had stomped over a breezy subway grate.
