Ahead of Courrèges’ show in Paris, guests unboxed blank, square invitations – each marked only with the instruction “break me apart”. After crumbling the outer shell, a card was revealed – holding the details of Courrèges’ earth-shattering SS24 show. Although shape-shifting terrain doesn’t come as too much of a shock for the French label [its SS23 runway almost enveloped Bella Hadid in a swirling sinkhole], this season’s slinky, structural offering was brought to life by a runway that crumbled into pieces with each model’s strappy kitten heel-clad steps.
