The silhouette was ample and longline, with pale suits layered in knobbled Harrington jackets and crystal-encrusted cardigans. Backstage, Jones said the collection had been inspired by the attention-seeking fashions of the New Wave – like Steven Jones’ fuzzy, cockatoo beanies which drew on the era’s eccentric club kids – which is fitting considering the designer headed off to Glastonbury almost immediately after the show.
