Fashion designers have rarely turned to Formula 1 when looking for inspiration – people tend to associate it with Lewis Hamilton or Dubai and so it doesn’t quite have the same sex appeal as football or basketball. But AW23 has seen a number of brands reference the sport: both Ottolinger and Kiko Kostadinov presented hybrid racing shoes that draw on the flat-footed high-tops worn by F1 drivers.
