So there were flat-footed ballet pumps, hand-me-down sweaters, and pedal pushers, but also lacquered tennis skirts, studded handbags, and lace t-shirts embedded with corset strings. These confrontational accents came from a place of frustration: with football bags and football shoes adorned with safety pins and friendship bracelets, the collection took arms against the continued sexism that blights the “beautiful” game.
