There were buttonless blazer-dresses, austere minis with ecclesiastical collars, and long-legged pantsuits, while trench coats were cloaked in aqueous swags of silk and cocktail dresses had been stretched across the body in metallic ruching. What started out as a controlled palette of lilac, cream, and jet-black, eventually broke into bright jolts of Ferragamo red – deployed via scalpel-sharp jackets that were slit to reveal bloodied wounds, winged LBDs, and zip-up vents on leather jackets.
