Giorgia Presti opened the show with rigid eveningwear made from (what looked like) 200 GSM paper – from which point, chaos reigned. Shirting became engorged with gobstopper-sized buttons, Hayley Zhenyu Shou sent an entire laundry basket down the runway in honour of the domestic woman, and Nomvelo Dlamini fitted models with part-shaven wigs in solidarity with the Black victims of Christian colonialism who were forced to shave their afro hair.
