Everything felt more glam than usual – all knitted body suits, skin-tight bodycons with big frilled collars, and lashings of beaded embroidery. In translating sound to cloth, AW23 was all about expanding Ahluwalia (the brand, the lifestyle, the business) with the designer taking her fashion beyond the remits of an everyday wardrobe.
