This was due, in part, to all the outerwear on display (which is a new category for Stewart) executed in uber-precise lines with Balenciaga-inspired padded hips and angular shoulders. And then there were all the satin gowns and sleeveless blouses, which fell lopsided over the shoulder in blustery folds. It’s an elegance we rarely see in young designers, embodied by floor-skimming opera shawls in aquamarine, scarlet, and hot pink.
