As always, everything was double and triple-layered in sickly colour combos, with Y2K mini kilts worn over lace slips, patchworked vests over long-sleeved t-shirts, and home-made sashes over sensible plaid shirts. Mini dresses were spun together from (what looked like) sinuous bits of paper maché, cowl necks hung from nipple piercings, and models carried enormous bales of hay as handbags. The cast was plucked from the ragtag community of faces that Collina Strada has nurtured over the years, among them Aaron Philip, Alva Claire, and Ella Emhoff, with Tommy Dorfman closing the show as a big-eared bride.
