Halter-neck, Stars and Stripes dresses with floor-scraping trains – reminiscent of their first ever collection – were made from flags stolen from houses on Fire Island. Deconstructed wedding dresses, safety-pinned and spliced together, conjured the image of high fashion runways past. Metallic polos riffed on all-American tropes, embroidered with Ralph Lauren-style cowboy motifs and assorted Route 56 patches of Marilyn Monroe and biker gang insignia. Acid wash denim skirts – as worn by former Dazed editor-in-chief Isabella Burley – had been stained yellow with soy sauce.
