Almost every piece had some kind of puffed-up accent, appearing across hemlines, collars, and swollen heart details. Pool floats became peplum inserts, neatly tailored jackets were blown-up on either side, and life rings were reimagined as bracelet bangles. What with all the retina-burning prints, statement hats, and 80s power dresses, it was as if the women of an Almodóvar film had been put on balloons. Fluoro, cropped jackets could be inflated at the wearer’s inclination, cartoon arm bands were styled with body-baring evening gowns, and aerated swans were looped across the shoulders like Björk’s 2001 Oscar’s look.
