A more daring, cowl-necked dress was worn by Caroline Polachek, whose breasts were covered in clusters of dead butterflies. Puppets and Puppets always invokes strange and uncanny sensations and this season was no different: butterfly clasps were set between the crack of an arse, telephones were transformed into handbags, and paper plates were stuck onto models’ buttocks. This time, however, the designers took all those domestic references downtown, with shiny leather panties, wipe-clean bralettes, and bleach-stained boobs.
