Less than 24 hours after the Collina Strada commune colonised a Brooklyn butterfly sanctuary, Eckhaus Latta transformed the community garden of El Jardin del Paraiso into a sweet, sun-dappled oasis for its SS23 show. As the contemplative plucks of harpist Mary Lattimore began to ripple and rise, a troupe of models led by Caroline Polachek, Paloma Elsesser, Ethel Caine, Hari Nef, and Martine Syms ambled into view – faces glazed with peel-off, drugstore masks.
