News broke at the start of the week that the legendary Japanese designer Kansai Yamamoto, known for working with David Bowie, had passed away. Marc Jacobs shared a tribute on his Instagram, writing about how a chance meeting with the designer when he was young ended up in an opportunity to work together. “To this day I am filled with gratitude to Kansai for seeing in me a special spark and giving me the wings I needed to fly,” he said.
