This season, Wales Bonner referenced John Goto, a reportage photographer, and his series documenting young British Afro-Caribbeans at Lewisham’s youth centre in the 1970s. Entitled Lovers Rock, this collection sought to celebrate communities which bonded through music and underground parties.
