Michelle Williams in Meek’s Cutoff
Williams’ look in Meek’s Cutoff is sort of prissy pilgrim, like a character from Little House on the Prairie. Her hair is parted in the middle; it hides her ears and is tucked away under her white puritan’s bonnet. Her rosy, weathered-by-the-elements cheeks are illuminated by the pale pastels of a long dress seemingly designed to cover every inch of skin. This is a ‘pure’, naturalistic look that comes from days traipsing along an old dirt track. Don’t be fooled by the prissy demeanour though. She can stare down the barrel of a gun like she means it.
