Sad Sick Girlz

It feels weird writing this and acknowledging the experiences i’ve had as a period of time when I have been ‘sick’, but reading over these stories and journeys is an eye opener. I guess i’ve never classified it as being ill, because the prospect of getting better has quite often been absent, but that is changing.  I always thought I would grow out of instead of grow into periods of painful anxiety but as i’ve gotten older the weight of feeling nervous and having my stomach turn has only increased. Since being given a diagnosis I feel as though I have started to understand why my mental health has often left me bed bound. Different ideologies I have told myself of what will make me anxious have for too long controlled my life, what foods I can or can’t eat, what places I can or can’t go. I’m getting better but this is a journey that cannot be taken overnight.  Luckily the path is well-lit and finding a space as prejudice free and neutral as this is a blessing. Love, @tacokaat
