Farah Qaramout | | فرح قرموط, "Loss", oil on canvas, 100cm x 100cm, 2024 'The painting Loss is a collective work of various details of Gaza’s beautifully colorful life, designed to make you feel the color shift in the painting—from bright to faded—reflecting the tragic transformation in our lives caused by the war that destroyed our homes and took away what we hold most dear. There is no clear beginning or end in the painting, representing the relentless cycle of war that leads to nothing but a spiral of violence and bloodshed. Yet, this same painting sends a continuous feeling of hope, encouraging us to continue the journey of Palestinian diaspora and resilience that has lasted for decades until now.'
