Welcome to Witch Week, a campaign dedicated to exploring how witchcraft, magick and beauty intersect. Discover photo stories shot featuring real witches in NYC, a modern reimagining of the witch, and one witch’s mission to get a tan, as well as in-depth features exploring herbology, science and alchemy, and male witches. Elsewhere, we’ve created four special covers to celebrate the campaign and our one year anniversary – something wicked this way comes.
“In a cabin by a lake in a forest, in a land far away live two reclusive vampires. One blonde and one brunette, they love to make bonfires and dance in the woods. Mostly they are friendly and frolicsome but occasionally, once in a while, when the moon is of a certain size a desperate desire to feed takes its hold.”
In celebration of our first anniversary, we’ve launched four witchy digital covers. Following on from Euphoria’s Alexa Demie, the second and third covers feature models Alton Mason and Lily McMenamy, who are transformed into spooky fairytale characters by photographer and director Ivar Wigan. Both performers and dancers, we brought the duo together inspired by their unworldly beauty and physicality.
Here, they star in Dinner Party, a ghoulish tale where a beautiful young prince, Alton, meets a deadly end after falling under vampiress Lily’s spell. While wandering out in the woods one evening, the young prince becomes lost and stumbles upon a hungry vampire. With her true nature unbeknownst to him and eager to prove his courage, the prince makes the mistake of many men before him and follows her to a candlelit lake house. There he finds a second vampire and begins to honour the beautiful pair with a magic dance. Twisting limbs and long stretches of human flesh, ripe as a plum, undulating before our witchy women prove too much. They’re overcome. They descend.
